Dear all it is indeed a very sad day for us all, with the passing of a true Australian O216314 Bruce John Niblett Squadron Leader Air Crew (Retired), Born 20th October 1934, passed at 5:20pm on 11th January 2021 Aged 86 in Newcastle Private Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
From his wife of 62 years, Anne Niblett: Precious husband, adoring father, proud and loving grandfather, and great grandfather, he leaves a big hole in our hearts. He will be so missed by all of us, our wider family, and his many friends.
Bruce was the type of person that moved along with modern technology but still retained the old values of life, he was a roll model for all ages young and the mature members of society, he fostered this through his service career and on into his civilian employment he was admired and respected for that by all who encountered Bruce.
His subordinances looked to him for guidance and leadership while his peers supported him to the letter, for this is very rare in this modern permissive society for Bruce John Niblett was such a person.
Bruce lives on in our thought’s the things we do and see while we can’t see him, he is there with us his legacy is in us all, lest we Forget god bless you Bruce.
On a personal note, Bruce was very dear to me as he was my grandfather in law, that is to say his granddaughter Jess is the wife of my son James Goggin and their daughter his great granddaughter, in addition we served together during our service career on many units including Malaysia and Williamtown.
